#207...kitchen before & after

This is my kitchen "before" back in 2003 when we moved to our bungalow
we gutted it
and cut a hole through the wall where the old refrigerator sat to open the room to the dining room
and now, I am happy to say that seven years later, we are officially completely finished with the room, thanks to some interest and motivation from a national magazine editor.

  4. Such a fantastic transformation. And such a big project!
What is it you've used to line the backs of your glass front cabinets?

  5. Thank you for all the nice feedback on the kitchen! To answer your questions, the white piece of furniture I had a local woodworker build for the space. I had some vintage hardware replated in brushed nickel for it. I painted it myself in "Paris Rain" by Benjamin Moore. It is a "campaign" style cabinet, and there are lots of this style for sale on ebay.

As for the backs of the glass front cabinets, I used fabric and starch. I did a blog post last year, showing how to do this to cabinets. This is the link to the post

  8. The apple fabric was formerly a tablecloth from the Orla Kiely for Target line that came out a couple of years ago. Sometimes you can still find it on ebay.

  9. Where did you get the three colored lamps that hang over the table?

  10. The ceramic pendants came off of a pole lamp from the 1970's (you can find these on ebay or etsy)
I fitted them onto a pendant fixture from Lowe's. There are lots of cool ceramic pendants being made nowadays too...look on etsy.
