#493...robin's table skirt

My friend Robin had this small metal console table in a nook of her living room.
We felt like it looked a little boring, and was not enough "presence" in the corner, so I made it a single-pleat, tailored table skirt.

I made the skirt around the time of Marin's 3rd birthday. For party decoration, Robin framed her invitation, which my little sister Sarah (the graphic artist) designed, and you can see propped atop the table. I snapped these pics on my phone one day while I was watching Marin who was home sick from school, so they don't do the best job showcasing the skirt, but you get the idea. If you don't have an existing table to skirt, but need a console, check out my plumbing pipe console post here.
